Silver Horse Shoe Compass Locket Pendant, 1890s
Beautiful antique Victorian sterling silver locket with horse shoe accents and a center working compass. Hailing from Birmingham, England dating to 1894, the engraved three dimensional locket has lucky horse shoes in the corners. The thick glass covered working compass has black enamel directionals on a pale yellow background with a working blue pin on the inside. The back of the locket is smooth ready to personalize with an engraving. Suspend the fob from a silver chain for a necklace, clip to the end of a watch chain or add to a charm bracelet. A hard to find gift for a dear friend, the horse lover, graduation or even for layering with others.
A compass provides guidance and navigation through life's unexpected twists and turns. Each cardinal direction has a significant meaning. North represents home and wisdom.
