Victorian Natural Amethyst Brooch
Natural purple amethyst gemstones, resting within a gold washed sterling silver open back frame, create this antique Victorian brooch pin, circa 1870s. The amethyst bear natural inclusions and ever so slight nuances in color. It is the birthstone for Pisces and the month of February, and the gemstone for the 6th anniversary of marriage. The gem is thought to bring forth the highest, purest aspirations of human kind. Understated elegance!
