Spectacular sterling silver filigree and pearl earrings handmade in Oaxaca by one of the few remaining master artisans preserving this historic jewelry tradition, including celebrated silversmith Federico Jimenez. Each earring is meticulously constructed one fine silver wire at a time, showcasing extraordinary craftsmanship and artistry passed down through generations.
Delicate handwoven seed pearls form graceful floral circles around luminous central pearls, surrounded by intricate sterling silver filigree. Rows of dangling pearls sway beautifully below, creating dramatic movement and elegant presence. The matching tops mirror the floral motif and suspend from classic shepherd’s hooks.
These striking earrings measusring 3 5/8 inches, are inspired by Colonial Spanish designs introduced to Mexico centuries ago and cherished by both Spanish and Indigenous women alike. This iconic Oaxacan jewelry style was famously collected and worn by Frida Kahlo.
A remarkable statement pair with timeless beauty and exceptional detail.
