An exceptional Antique Victorian sterling silver locket-vinaigrette pendant, crafted in England circa 1902 by celebrated silversmith George Unite. This beautifully scalloped rectangular pendant is richly engraved on all sides, featuring an elegant ivy motif on the front with a ribbon cartouche ideal for engraving.
The pendant opens to reveal a pierced, gold gilt floral interior with a hinged compartment designed to hold a small piece of cotton infused with perfume—an ingenious and romantic Victorian detail. Originally worn on a chatelaine, this piece is a fascinating blend of history, craftsmanship, and wearable art.

Measurements: The vinaigrette measures 1 1/2 inches tall and 3/4 inches wide. We will add an 18 inch silver rolo chain at no charge so the vinaigrette can be worn immediately.
