A beautiful Victorian hair pin comb dating to circa 1870–1890, featuring a fan-shaped diadem (crown) cluster of polished natural Mediterranean coral beads in warm salmon-pink hues. The graduated beads are set against richly mottled natural shell, creating an elegant combination of organic materials popular during the 19th century.
Crafted with a hallmarked 800-standard silver mounting and gold-gilt finish, this two-pronged hair fork reflects the diadem-inspired ornaments worn atop elaborate Victorian chignons.
