This antique Georgian vinaigrette, crafted by John Bettridge in 1830 and bearing a hallmark from Birmingham, features delicate oak leaf and acorn detailing on the front with a blank cartouche and a floral engraving on the back. The locket-style hinged compartment allows for the insertion of a daub of perfume on cotton, making it both beautiful and functional. A stunning and highly collectible piece.
