This stunning antique brooch is an exquisite example of antique Egyptian Revival design. It features a natural iridescent green beetle bug center with wings made of gold gilded silver and a vibrant blue to purple plique a jour that shines like stained glass when held up to the light. The wings are further enhanced by accent shades of blue enamel, with the brooch secured by a tubular hinge and c-clasp. A true gem of Art Nouveau style.
