This antique pietra dura 10K gold brooch features a charming combination of Victorian Scottish agates, including classic banded and white agates from Fife, green and red speckled bloodstones from the Isle of Rum, and orange jaspers from the campsie Fells in Stirlingshire. The agates are expertly set flush in an elaborately engraved gold frame, with a support stone and large section of polished Scottish agate on the back. The brooch is secured with a tubular hinge and c-clasp closure, complete with an extended pin. This is truly a one-of-a-kind antique Scottish piece.

Condition: Very good showing no chips or nicks to the agates with any lines natural inclusions to the agates. The brooch has a couple of repairs to the metalwork on the back that are not visible from the front.
