This wonderful mid-19th-century Biedermeier pendant is a beautifully expressive example of the era’s refined craftsmanship. The sculptural cartouche is richly detailed with flowing flower and leaf tendril motifs, highlighted in striking cobalt blue and white enamel, all set in warm 14K gold.
Jewelry from the Biedermeier period (circa 1815–1848) is celebrated for its naturalistic themes and elegant restraint, both of which are clearly reflected in this design. Graceful, artistic, and full of old-world charm, this is a truly lovely antique pendant.
