Vintage Sterling Silver Connemara Marble Ring 1960s
Statement ring hailing from Dublin, Ireland with a large natural green Connemara Marble stone set in sterling silver. The green Connemara Marble cabochon is band wrapped in sterling silver and has forked shoulders. Hallmarked with Irish marks dating to the 1960s, the ring is a wonderful statement piece with the Connemara showing beautiful matrix throughout.
Referred to as Ireland’s gem stone, Connemara marble contains the luck of the Irish, as a representative of Irish's lush green hills and dales. Irish folklore says that if you rub a Connemara marble between your thumb and index finger, it can bring a sense of calm and reduce anxiety. Connemara marble is also said to bring good fortune and serenity to those who receive it as a gift.
