Vintage Art Deco Garnet Snake Bracelet
Antique Art Deco snake bracelet, circa 1920. Garnet red paste gemstones form the eyes with the top of the head having a faceted blue sapphire paste glass stone. The life like textured head joins a thick 4.25mm serpentine chain that ends with a coiling snake tail. The tail forms a slide with the head like a dangling charm. This is VERY impressive to say the least! The Romans interpreted the snake as a symbol of everlasting love.
Materials: Gold gilded base metal
Gemstones: Blue sapphire paste, 2 garnet paste rhinestone eyes
Measurements: 11 inches from tip of head to tail. The bracelet measures 9 inches fully extended allowing it to slip over the wrist and be adjusted by pulling the head through the tail.
Weight: 27 grams
Condition: Excellent with a nice patina to the gold gilded metal, no wear and no verdigris. The tail forms a secure adjustment to any length you would like. A smashing vintage Art Deco piece of jewelry!
