Sterling Silver Victorian Cherub Italian Peruzzi Bracelet ON HOLD
ON HOLD...do not buy...
A gothic winged cherub putti with links of oak leaves rendered in sterling silver forms this circa 1870 antique Victorian bracelet attributed to Peruzzi. The face of the cupid / putti is three dimensional and set within a tendril oval border with the detailed wings curling through the adjoining links. Oak leaf topped circle links join a tongue and slide clasp with safety chain to complete the bracelet.
The putti represented earthly love in Victorian jewelry with the oak leaf a symbol of strength and stability. A wonderful antique bracelet with sentimental meaning as a love token.
