Silver Black Enamel Austro Hungarian Bracelet Mourning
Silver, thick black enamel and a seed pearl front, circa 1860-70s, comprise this beautiful Austro Hungarian piece of mourning jewelry. The Victorian bangle has a row of delicate seed pearls flanked on the top and bottom with three leaf clover dots and a scrolling design at the end. A decorative hinge and slide clasp complete the piece. Hallmarked for Trieste and impressed with the doghead, the bracelet measures 6 7/8 inches on the inside and just shy of 1/2 inch wide. All the seed pearls are present with a few chips in the enamel which are predominant at the clasp area and difficult to note. A superb antique piece of jewelry!
