Art Deco 1920s Austria Enamel Amethyst Necklace
Beautiful enamel, glistening amethyst glass and shimmering pastel pink rhinestones combine to create this elaborate and consummate Art Deco necklace from Austria - circa 1920. The tiered diamond-shape pendant is imbued with a amethyst purple hued stone and surrounded by black enamel commas all set in a gold gilt filigree. A turquoise enamel scalloped border accented with white fleur di lis forms the outer layer. The chain is the perfect enhancement with stations of black and turquoise cupped enamel flower shapes centered with a sparkling rhinestone alternate with amethyst jeweled links. Hallmarked Austria on the pendant, this necklace is a testament to the craftsmanship of the turn of the last century. Magnificent!
