A spectacular vintage Teresa Camino sterling silver fringe bracelet overflowing with movement, texture, and personality. Measuring an impressive 1 1/2 inches wide, this distinctive cha cha bracelet features multiple rows of slender sterling silver rods tipped with rounded ball ends. With every movement of the wrist, the heavy silver fringe jingles and sways in a wonderfully fluid, dance-like motion.
The fringe is attached to a flexible, chainmail-style sterling silver band and finished with an old-fashioned pin clasp. Weighing a substantial 148.8 grams, this is a bold statement bracelet with exceptional presence.
Teresa Camino was one of the earliest contemporary designers to make a significant impact on Mexico's traditional silver jewelry scene. Inspired by Mexico's architectural forms and cultural iconography, Camino interpreted her heritage through a distinctly modern design aesthetic. Before establishing her own jewelry line, she supervised production at the Spratling ranch in Taxco Viejo. Her work has been exhibited throughout Mexico, the United States, and Europe.
A wonderful example of vintage Mexican modernist jewelry, this Teresa Camino bracelet is an especially collectible piece for enthusiasts of Mexican silver and distinctive designer jewelry.
