Bold, sculptural and unmistakably Mexican, this spectacular vintage Taxco bracelet features a dramatic scalloped feather or stylized leaf motif crafted in substantial sterling silver.
Each articulated link overlaps the next, creating an elegant sense of movement around the wrist. Vibrant round turquoise cabochons punctuate the silver design, with two turquoise stones forming distinctive “eyes” within each feather or leaf motif.
The substantial silverwork, organic forms and turquoise accents are strongly reminiscent of the work of Los Castillo. The bracelet is unsigned, however, so it is offered as Los Castillo style rather than attributed definitively to the workshop.
Weighing an impressive 63.5 grams, this is a wonderfully substantial piece with an unmistakable presence. The articulated links wrap beautifully around the wrist and fasten securely with a slide clasp.
