An exceptional antique Edwardian snake ring, made in England in 1910 and beautifully crafted in 18K yellow gold.
Two sculptural serpents wind around one another, their detailed bodies forming the shoulders and shank of the ring. The snakes are beautifully rendered with defined heads, eyes, and anatomical details, giving this unusual ring wonderful character and movement.
The interior bears its original English hallmarks, including the London Assay Office leopard’s head, 18-carat gold mark, crown, and P date letter for 1910.
Entwined snakes were a romantic Victorian and Edwardian symbol of two lives becoming permanently connected—making this a particularly meaningful love or commitment ring.
Beautifully preserved and exceptionally well cared for, this is a striking piece of antique English jewelry with history, symbolism, and plenty of personality.
