This gorgeous and highly collectible antique Egyptian Revival scarab brooch dates to circa 1912 and was produced by the renowned jeweler Charles Horner. Crafted in sterling silver, the brooch is centered with an iridescent green-and-blue enamel scarab beetle, its luminous surface catching the light beautifully. Outstretched wings fan outward in graduated shades of blue and green enamel, creating a striking sense of movement and symmetry.
Finished with a tubular hinge and classic C-clasp, the piece bears full Chester hallmarks for Charles Horner. Rich in symbolism and artistry, this is a wonderful example of Art Nouveau–era Egyptian Revival jewelry.
