Large and wonderfully dramatic, these antique Georgian–Victorian chandelier earrings date to the early–mid 1800s and are exquisitely rendered in silver cut steel. Measuring an impressive 2½ inches long, they shimmer with faceted steel rivets that frame an oval mother-of-pearl drop, centered with a delicate cut-steel flower cluster. The oval element is suspended from long, graceful chains gathered at the top with pierced hook wires, creating beautiful movement and sparkle with every turn of the head.
Georgian cut steel jewelry was prized for its diamond-like brilliance, offering an opulent look without the use of precious stones. Condition: Very good with normal age-appropriate wear. We have replaced the ear hooks with sterling silver wires, as the originals were very misshapen. Amazing little antique treasures that are well over 150 years old!
