Rare Plique a Jour Enamel Art Nouveau Necklace
From the Art Nouveau era comes this gorgeous and rare Jugenstil plique-a-jour enamel sterling silver necklace. The gold over sterling pendant has a carnelian molded glass center surrounded by colorful plique a jour enamel geometric shapes in colors of yellow, green blue and deep red. The pendant connects to a chain having stations of plique-a-jour ending with a spring ring clasp. Hallmarked WMC on the verso, the necklace is a superb piece of authentic Jugendstil jewelry.

- Hallmarks: WMC Sterling - W. M. C. is the mark of Wolcott Mfg. Co., of, Providence, R. I. They made fine quality jewelry between 1906 - 1922.
- Condition: Excellent with no chips or nicks to the molded glass center, all enamel present and sterling silver bearing a wonderful patina.
