Wonderful nineteenth-century super large antique Victorian Scottish dirk kilt pin brooch with rich Cairngorm foil backed quartz gemstones. Rendered in engraved sterling silver, the brooch contains Aberdeen granite sections in gray and brick red, each with a round Cairngorm popping out from the center. Closed in the back with a c-clasp, tubular hinge and elongated pin stem, the brooch would make a wonderful gift and is good for either the gentlemen or the ladies. A very fine Dirk brooch for the collector!

Condition: Very good with no chips or nicks and the heavy sterling silver mounting has a nice patina. There is a small dent at the back of the cairngorm, although not a deterrent or visible from the front. An exceptional true authentic Scottish brooch!
