Antique Victorian Austro Hungarian necklace! The ornate pendant has a floral style with a large genuine oval blue lapis stone in the middle complete with bands of gold pyrite. At the top of the pendant are two phoenix bird with genuine pearls and sapphire glass decorating the outside edge. Dangling below is a drop having a pearl and sapphire glass stone.

The pendant is suspended from a filigree bale complete with lapis stone center and pearl accents. As with most Austro Hungarian jewelry, even the chain is ornately decorated both back and front with sapphire glass stones and delicate genuine pearls. A hidden slide clasp completes the piece. A gorgeous piece of Victorian art!

Measurements: 16″ with the pendant, drop and bale adding an additional 3 1/3″
Circa: late 1800s
Condition: Very, very good with no chips or nicks to any of the stones or pearls. The very end of the tongue on the clasp that would have held the dogs head mark has been expertly repaired years ago. The clasp is completely secure, but the mark is not present. There is no doubt that this Austro Hungarian from the design and elements used.
